LAKADONG TURMERIC
LAKADONG TURMERIC
A rare, potent turmeric variety grown only in West Jaintia Hills of Meghalaya—the nowhere else on the earth. Its bold, aromatic flavor and vibrant color come from an impressive 8% curcumin content.
With musky, floral aroma and notes of ginger, honey, mandarin, it adds a powerful boost to both cooking and wellness rituals.
Its exceptional potency comes from the region's unique terroir: high-altitude, monsoon-fed fields, and black-acidic soil. Grown elsewhere, it would lose its bold flavor and its naturally high curcumin content.
ORIGIN: Umnari, Meghalaya
NAME: Lakadong — a varietal native to the Lakadong region.
